Here's a look at what hit Echo last month, what's just rolling out, and what's in the pipe.

Shipped Last Month

Pokémon, YuGiOh, and the other new TCGs now work properly across the site. Set pages for Pokémon (like

) were rendering MTG data or breaking entirely — we've fixed the game-scoping across set lookups, collection stats, and image URLs. If you collect across multiple games, your inventory totals and set tiles now show the right cards for each game.

CSV imports got a lot smarter. You can now round-trip your collection through MTGstocks, Manabox, or our own bulk export without losing data. The importer recognizes "Foil=False" and "Foil=No" correctly (it was treating those as foil before), handles acquisition price and date columns from error CSVs, and accepts MTGstocks' "Card" / "Collector #" / "Avg Buy" headers. If you've been fighting CSV imports, try again.

The collection page's color filter is now multi-select with color-identity logic. Pick Blue + Red to see your mono-blue and mono-red cards; add the Multicolor toggle to include Izzet (and only Izzet — no Grixis or Jeskai unless you check those colors too). This makes slicing your collection by Commander color identity much faster.

Free-tier enforcement tightened. New signups now default to the Basic plan with a 500-card hard cap (was unlimited for nine days in late July, which tanked paid conversion). If you're on Basic and hit the cap, the upgrade prompt now sends you to the right plan page instead of a discontinued tier.

Wiki editors can now bulk-sync card data from TCGplayer without overwriting manual edits. The new Data Sync button on the manage-sets page fills in missing fields (power/toughness, rarity, card text) for every card in a set, skipping anything you've already edited. Useful for cleaning up imports where TCGplayer's API didn't return everything on the first pass.

Per-game labels landed across the wiki. YuGiOh cards now show Attack/Defense instead of Power/Toughness; Pokémon shows HP; Lorcana shows Strength/Willpower and Cost/Ink instead of mana. The edit modal and card detail pages adapt to whichever game you're working with.

What to Look Out For

The collection page now shows a running count at the top — "N unique / M total" for how many distinct printings vs total copies match your current filters, plus the aggregate dollar value of everything on screen. Useful for sizing up a set or rarity slice without scrolling.

Game filtering rolled out on the collection drawer. If you collect MTG + Lorcana + Pokémon, you can now slice by game without filtering by set first. The dropdown only shows games you actually own cards in, and hides entirely if you're single-game.

The "I just got these cards" modal (bulk-add acquisitions) gained an Apply-to-all row. Fill in one price and one date, hit Apply, and every card in the batch gets those values. Saves a lot of repetitive typing when you pick up a stack at one shop on one day.

Printable checklists work again. The "Open Printable Checklist" button on set pages was 404ing; it's fixed and now respects the game you're viewing (so /pokemon/sets/X/checklist shows Pokémon cards, not MTG).

What's to Come

Pokémon set pages with 6–7 character codes (like SWSH12 or SWS12TG) are rolling out now. The backend was treating anything longer than 5 characters as a set name instead of a code, which broke lookups. That's fixed — if you've been seeing empty set pages for newer Pokémon releases, refresh and they should load.

The wiki's Add Expansion modal now warns you if the set code you're entering already exists for that game. It's a soft warning (you can still proceed if the collision is intentional), but it'll catch accidental duplicates before they hit the database.

Cross-game search is now gated to the games you can actually navigate to. If you're signed into echomtg.com as a non-wiki user, the global search bar no longer surfaces YuGiOh or Pokémon cards — only MTG and Lorcana. Wiki contributors and anyone on binder.tools still see everything.

SEO canonicals shifted for the multi-brand rollout. MTG and Lorcana pages on echomtg.com stay self-canonical; YuGiOh, Pokémon, Flesh and Blood, One Piece, and Star Wars Unlimited pages now canonical to binder.tools. This consolidates Google ranking on the brand that owns each category. If you're a collector, you won't notice — the pages work the same either way.
